How To Choose Industrial PU Wheels?
There are many types of casters, with different sizes, models, and tire surfaces. Choosing the right caster depends on the following conditions:
Size: Generally speaking, the larger the diameter, the greater the pushing force and obstacles, the better the carrying capacity, and the greater the carrying capacity, the better the protection of the ground from damage. The choice of wheel diameter should consider the weight of the load and the starting thrust of the truck under the load.
Use place environment: The working environment contains chemicals, grease, oil and salt, and other substances.
Special requirements: silence, shock absorption, various special climates, such as humidity, high temperature, severe cold, etc. Anti-impact, collision, and driving safety. It needs to meet all needs.
Industrial polyurethane wheels mainly include metal wheel cores and polyurethane layers. The polyurethane layer is concentrically wrapped on the outer peripheral surface of the metal wheel core. The soft material used at the beginning was nitrile rubber, and the roll was later improved. The wear resistance and load-bearing capacity of polyurethane materials gradually replaced nitrile rubber, and polyurethane casters appeared.
Because its load-bearing capacity and wear resistance are significantly better than rollers made of other soft materials and have the advantage of lightweight, it has been widely used. When the polyurethane caster is working, there are three ways to dissipate heat in the polyurethane layer: one is that the polyurethane caster contacts the surface of the walking track, and the heat is dissipated through conduction. The second is that the surface of the polyurethane layer and the air dissipate heat in a convective manner; the third is that the polyurethane layer and the wheel core dissipate heat in a conductive manner.
